Early College Initiative

Early College Initiative is a joint program with the Department of Education and Bronx Community College (BCC) where high school students at Inwood Early College (IEC) can earn college credit and potentially graduate with an associate degree in either Cybersecurity or Liberal Arts – Biology option. Through our partnership, students enroll in Pathways courses (level 100). 

Students may enroll: 

  1. First Year Seminar 
  2. Art History
  3. Chemistry
  4. Algebra & Elementary Trigonometry
  5. Pre-Calculus
  6. Calculus
  7. English Composition 1 
  8. English Composition 2 

IEC students, may earn up to 22 college credits before graduating from high school. In addition, they may continue to attend to BCC to complete their associates degree at no cost.
